Falling down a Wikipedia rabbit hole is the worst…
I started looking up info on a group from the 80s, the Wee Papa girls (does anyone else remember them? I still don’t know how I knew of them since they were a UK rap duo. It had to be my mother. Anyway…) and now, I’m reading about James DeBarge and Janet Jackson’s marriage and the baby they may or may not have had together in the 80s.
I’m telling you, these rabbit holes I fall into are weird bruh.
Still in the rabbit hole: they’re making a movie about the DeBarge family?
Two questions: 1. When is this going to premiere? Because I got to see it. Hopefully it won’t be “The Bobby Brown Story” bad.
2. I know there are a lot and probably a lot in Hollywood but where are they gonna get all of them light skins for this movie? Zendaya’s not going to be Bunny DeBarge is she?
I remember Wee Papa girls. This was back before BET was too good to play videos all day and by artists not pre-approved by white radio.
And I still can’t believe people didn’t know Janet was married to her second husband Rene Elizondo until they filed for divorce. One of her sisters told that years ago but I guess no one believed coz, well, that family.
And I’m watching that DeBarge movie. That Unsung was good…
I need to watch that episode of Unsung again. And they need to go ahead and drop that movie on TV One. If only to get that Bobby Brown nonsense out of my head.
