Adam Banks is often referred to as a “Cake Eater” in The Mighty Ducks. This term is actually well known throughout Minnesota and refers to people who live in the city of Edina, a suburb of Minneapolis. It’s in reference to Marie Antoinette’s infamous, “Let them eat cake”.

The husband and I still call each other “cake eater” like we’re a couple of pre-teens from 1992. Yeah, I know; we are complete dorks. It’s one of the reasons we’re together 😂
