Well, comic books for me was this really great inlet to learning about American culture. I’m from Trinidad and one of the first ways I learned what kind of being an American meant was reading these comic books, and learning, even about, the mutants. About this world that really doesn’t understand you and can’t accept your powers and your strength, but, you’ll get older and you’ll meet other powerful people too. And there will be a new day and the world will accept you.
